Hotel Booking - Price Change

Hi,
I have booked 2 nights in a UK hotel for this Friday and Sat. I booked on the hotels own website. Since I booked they are now offering a special online booking rate.
Credit card details were taken when the room was booked, but no money has been taken yet.
It is unfortunately too late to cancel the booking and re-book without incurring a fee.
Will I pay the rate that the room was as when I booked, or the rate that the rooms are now available at?
Thanks
Ceia

When you booked it0

the price you paid when they booked. It's similar to buying something in a shop and seeing it in the sale the next week.If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0

Phone & ask whether you can have the new rate (or maybe give you a free upgrade??) .... no harm in trying ... how much is the fee? Might be worth saying that if they don't change rate you'll cancel & go elsewhere ... of course you need to be prepared to do that ....

What hotel and rate was the booking? It might be a rate where you can cancel.0

Hiya, I work for a well known hotel chain and we get people phoning all the time to change from normal rates to promotional rates. Alot of hotels offer a 24hr cancellation policy (we offer 2pm on day of arrival) so you might get lucky if you call them!Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10
