Ive been told i can claim the money back, is this true??

    Hi Matt

Do you mean in regards of being mis sold the insurance to this loan?
If you were mis sold this for any reason then yes go for it.

    More info and templates here:
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance

If you do not have the finance agreement to this, write to them and request for this, they have 12 days to supply this to you, and also enclose a cover payment of £1 postal order or cheque payment for this request, good luck.;)

This may come in handy for a claim.

    Hi Matt

Mis sold insurance is for example, if you buy a loan and insurance was added, for example they may have added this without your authority, or maybe you were pressurised into taking this product, PPI is known as Payment protection insurance, but its known as PPP and many other names as well.
If you check out that link I posted above, you will find more info in regards of mis selling.;)

If any of that occurs to you, then yes you can put in a reclaim.

Not sure what you meant otherwise in regards of reclaiming......sorry.:o

  • Hi,

I took out a finance loan with Carlyle finance in 2008 and I have now finished paying for the loan.

Can I still claim the PPI??

Can I just send them a letter asking to claim back the PPI with the relevant policy details to get the ball rolling??

    Thanks

No, you have to show this was somehow mis-sold to you.

Look here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#step2 for reasons that you may have been mis sold, if you have any other reasons that may help then put those.

If you repaid the PPI in with the loan payment each month and not as a separate payment, this is Single Premium PPI and you can use this reason too, this was in fact a loan on the loan repaid by you to term end with interest.

You only need the loan account number and reasons for mis sell to make
    a claim.
If you got the car from a dealer, it is the dealer you make the claim too.
