Hiya,

Had an offer accepted yesterday £11000 below asking, I had a look at the house today and it says sold STC still view. Im not too happy firstly that people can still view and outbid me, is there anything I can do? Do i have the right to say something?

Secondly as a first time buyer I dont have a clue what happens next, i have a solicitor but i would be grateful is someone could explain step by step.

Ill be very grateful Thanks

You should really use one of the templates provided on here to make your offers in future - they have a clause in them that says "this offer is subject to the property immediately being removed from the market..." etc in it, which is supposed to prevent this kinda thing.

As to the buying process, I'm a newbie in this too, so I'll let someone else answer.

You can't really insist that the house is removed from viewing, in exactly the same way the vendor can't insist that you don't view other properties. Of course you can ask them and if they refuse withdraw your offer... that's still an option for you now.

However, if you wish to continue you need to

-instruct a solicitor to start the legal processes
    -arrange for a mortgage
-arrange for a survey if you don't want to rely on the the vendor's HIP or the mortgage companies valuation.
-get a book out the library about buying a house.
