Topshop website making it impossible to return damaged items - Help?!!

Like some other people on here, I've been having problems with Topshop.com.
I ordered 2 items, a dress and coat, coming to over £80 (+ £4 delivery).
Received the items, and both were damaged :mad:. The coat had been sent in a taped up plastic bag with no padding, it was on a coat-hanger which had broken in transit and damaged the material. The dress had white stains on the chest and belt area and was also a different shade to that pictured on the website.
Their returns information states that "no refunds will be accepted without a valid returns number". A returns number can only be processed via their website, which simply returns an error message telling me to 'try again later'.
Luckily I paid with Paypal so am able to file a dispute. I have also emailed them. So far no reply. When should I escalate to a claim?

I have purchased items from Top Man, and one item didn't fit my son and on the bottom of the returns note it stated you can return to any Top Man, which is what I did.
Just took returns note and they even refunded the money in store.
Not a help, if you don't live near a Top Shop!!! but may be easier to return??0 -
take it back to the store... if uve lost the delivery note use ur paypal receipt.0

Because the coat was part of a different collection it states it can only be returned to their warehouse. I have started a paypal dispute and will escalate to a claim if no answer by the end of today.This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
