Hahahaha!! That's the kind of luck I would have aswel!!
I'd like to be able to save up a few hundred and go on a mad shopping spree somewhere like Glasgow or Edinburgh, it's been so long since I've bought anything but £1.98 t-shirts from primark that I don't remember the name of any other shops!! :rotfl:Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

I'll join you in that bottle of bubbly - veuve cliquot is my favourite but we will have to see if I become a true MSE'r by then and opt for Cava instead..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I will book myself a long holiday and spoil myself rotten (having saved up the money to do so first!!)
I will relax and enjoy my life to the full and never ever let my finances get out of control again.....:T:T

To live, basically.
To provide loads of opportunities for my kids and make sure they never, ever, ever have the stress and heartache of debt.
To do something cool with my baby cousin (I say baby, she's 18 now, lol) as I missed 10 years of her life due to our family circumstances.Debt free in 2010
£6551.35 paid so far.
This WILL be my debt free year! :T0 -
There are many material things that I would love, and am absolutely sure I need, but absolute tops comes just plain and simple peace of mind. I want another baby, but not before we are debt free. I am counting the days.....
A full six months outgoings worth of emergency fund will be the first thing we save for.Debt free as of July 2010 :j

I am going to start saving with a vengeance. Once I have three months worth of salary tucked away for emergencies I am going to start two saving accounts. One for the things I would really like to enhance my life:
- decorating the house
- improving the garden
- holidays
and another for the long term:- retirement
- DD university
- smallholding
The whole thought of being free of debt and actually having money in the bank is what is keeping me motivated I just want that relaxed feeling of knowing I have money there if I need it.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Once my debts are cleared through a DRO I would like to learn to scuba dive (around £300) and maybe go snorkelling (on my own - no !!!!!! will take me). I would also like to start selling aviation prints again. That said, I can't see more than a few hours ahead. Life is such a bloody nightmare at present and not all connected with my debts. If I survive DRO then the first thing I will do is buy some expensive sushi (not the R2C stuff you sometimes find at Boots). I will then drink to the memory of my former self and the dark times endured.0

Is anyone else sort of scared of being debt free? I think that it's over-shawdowed my life that in a way I think I might be lost without it.Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

ive had my LB moment but he hasnt quite had his yet but im clearing it slow and steady without him really knowing,
anyway when its all gone i want to carry on doing up the house and save for a conservatory,
it would be lovely to see the house all done and an extra room.

Well since it's going to be anything between 15 and 25 years:eek: before we are debt free I haven't really thought about it. But i'm sure one of the first things will be a nice holiday. I could even potentially be a granny :eek::eek:by then then so i would also treat the kids/grandkids and hopefully teach the kids how to save rather than spend!!!The person who moves a mountain begins by carrying small stones.

Hiya, first thing i did was go out and buy myself something nice to wear and had my hair done.
I am also now saving a little as i am learning to drive in the summer.
I find I can afford to go out now.. got a few things planned for the next few months, which is great as hadn't been out much in the last 2 years, maybe once every 6 months.I am now debt free :j:jsince January 2009
but really need to learn how to save and budget to get some savings behind me :eek:0
