I'd love to have a £100 note, I've only seen one once I think!0

Never seen a £100 note, but my boss tends to give me multiples of £50 notes for petty cash (she has more money than sense!!).
I hate them...ever tried to use a £50 note to buy a 32p pint of milk in the supermarket or a couple of 1st class stamps at the post office...?!?!!!!
It doesn't make you popular...!!!

I don't think it's so much popular as suspect! ( Although I'm sure you are in no way dodgy!) Purely because so few are seen in shops and if it was a fake it's a big loss to swallow.0

That's what I thought. Just checked on the Royal Mint's website and there is no mention of a £100 note. Didn't think I'd ever seen one. :rolleyes:ruyareece wrote:I think someone is pulling our legs?? £100 note????? Don't think so! :rotfl:

BANK OF ENGLAND NOTES
In England and Wales the £5, £10, £20 and £50 notes are legal tender for payment of any amount. However, they are not legal tender in Scotland and Northern Ireland.0 -
There are old 100s which were the white sheets but no current notes.0
-
There most certainly are £100 notes (or at least were not so long ago anyway). I've had several of them and asked the bank for them in particular when I was making an expensive cash purchase.
Edit: Just checked with my bank (RBS) and yes you DO get £100 notes still and they have them in branch.Herman - MP for all!
