LOL!!! No I can't say that I come by £50 notes very often either. If I did it would be for a fleeting moment before my outstanding credit card balance grabbed it.

I've only ever had one - it was last summer when my annual rail season ticket got nicked and I had to buy weekly tickets until the new one came through at which point I was reimbursed by the ticket office. I knew I wouldn't be able to use it though, so I went straight into the bank for two £20s and a £10...

you can get them from the post office only as far as im aware and many places wont / dont take them ... wouldnt like to be in the £50 club imagen you had 3 notes and lost your piggy bank yikes

I usually receive one at christmas/birthdays when people give money as a gift. I always go straight to the bank to either bank it or change it for two notes that are accepted more. :rolleyes:

I think you can only get them when you draw out from the bank and actually ask for them, cash machines don't give them.

someone told me they have a picture of the pope on them, as its a miracle if you get one. not sure if this is true as i still havnt had one.
