Interest rates aren't going anywhere till AFTER the election....if Labour do they know they will be out (not like it will make a change anyway).
If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly

I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right

We only have 3.2% 0r 0.15 with the £ at record lows(well in recent times).

where will the inflation come from.

    Inflation will be externally driven.

OPEC is attempting to drive crude oil prices up to $60 PB by the end of the year.
    Food prices are rising.
The exchange rate will improve as UK interest rates rise to attract buyers to fund the PSBR.

Unless I'm mistaken the IR has no effect on those (the 2nd being largely resultant on the first)

  • Bullshine - how can anyone put a date on something which has too many variables and don't worry about house prices, worry about your job and excessive living inflation which will keep on rising unless interest rates rise.

The value of the pound will have an impact on both which is tied to interest rates.

You need pretty violent moves in the FX market to make a big difference though.
