JSA and holiday

Hi,

My temp job ends tomorrow and as my agency haven't got another job yet lined up for me i was going to apply for JSA. I've just found out that I actually have 4 days holiday left to take with the agency, thought had used them all up. I would like to use the days to cover me for a holiday I already have booked in May. Just wondering if me having outstanding holidays would be a problem. Am sure the agency will get me more work it's just they have nothing at the moment.

Will JSA contact my agency?

Thanks,
TempWorker

i think this would be classed as moneowed to you from previous employment and will affect your benefit claim.

as far as claiming it whilst already receiving JSA I THINK it would be classed as a wage and thay would look into your claim again.

Personally i would claim this money owed now and put it aside for your holiday rather than claiming it when you go. this could slow your claim a bit but would be less hassle than claiming whilst on benefits
