Terrestrial TV Aerial Cost

We currently have an oldish aerial on the roof plugged into our freeview box which gives a fantastic picture.
I have just rung a few local firms to get a quote on getting a second aerial fitted so we can watch TV upstairs, in all 3 bedrooms. They quoted me £65 for an aerial going in to one bedroom, saying that splitting it into more than one bedroom would degrade the picture too much. This seems far too expensive to me.
Can anyone with a bit of knowledge in this subject shed any more light on this?

At say £10 for an aerial, £55 to go up on your roof bolt it in then run a wire into a bedroom isn't that much IMO, if it was me I'd probably charge that for the hassle, in fairness if you want to pay a lot less just get the bits from B&Q or Maplins and run one yourself?0

Alternatively you could install an amplifier and run a second co-ax to your extra television. They are relatively easy to install if you are a competent diyer. Most people fit them where the co-ax comes through the loft. You will need a mains supply to the unit so you must understand how to safely wire the amp into the supply. The other instructions (and requirements, eg. co-ax and connectors) should come with the amp.Nice to save.0
