MP3 player that has replaceable batteries?

Has anyone come across an MP3 player similar in spec to an iPod or Sony where the battery can be replaced relatively cheaply.

I like the iPod Nano but the thought of the battery going after 1 year and then having to pay almost as much again for a new battery is a total turnoff.

Have you looked to see if you can buy rechargeable batteries? It might be a lot cheaper in the long run.

Yep, and it's almost as much as replacing the iPod (you need to send it in to Apple and they will send you a replacement iPod).

Not worth it. Apple have taken a lot of stick on their pricing policy over this.

Have a look for the batteries on ebay first. Replacement batteries for the Creative Zen MP3 player are around a tenner or less.

In fact the ipod ones are cheaper than that, and there's even a video here which shows how to do it. It looks easy enough if you're brave enough.
