any ideas for a birthday celebration

My Mother in Law is on my case she wants to take the whole family away for her partners 65th birthday . 7 adults 6 kids and 2 babies. She is not considering the obvious a nice meal out at a restaurant NO we should go away for the whole weekend. 8th September for two nights. Any ideas for an inexpensive break for the numbers involved have looked at cottages very expensive. Hotels difficult because of the numbers of rooms we would need to book. Anyone got a nice house for fifteen. in a tranquil country setting not far from essex!!!!!

    Just to Poland,i could think of other places much further afield.Only joking,i get on great with my MIL.

    What about 3 or 4 caravans on a site in Norfolk or something.
