How many guests?

How many guests will you invite to your meal and how many to your reception? Just wondered, I know everyone is different. We may be going for a smaller venue, which would mean 50 guests each (100 in total) maximum for the reception. It's proving a bit difficult because I have around 100 people myself that I would love to invite. Going to have to tally it down!

We're inviting 90 for the whole thing - ceremony, meal and evening. We're having it in a different area from where our friends and families live so having people just for the evening isn't an option. The reception venue could fit in double our numbers if we wanted it to but 90 will be more than enough!
Edited to say: As you'd imagine, this has had quite an impact on out budget. Having all our friends and family there is one of the most important things to us so we are happy to cut our budget elsewhere (e.g., no favours, serving cupcake wedding cake as dessert, borrowing friend's car for transport, mum making bridesmaids dresses, uncle who's a printer doing invitations as a wedding present, chosing a venue that allows us to provide own wine for meal with no corkage fees).0 -
About 55 during the day, up to around 70 in the evening. More were invited but because of the Heineken Cup taking place in Edinburgh the same weekend hotel costs have gone up and there isn't much availability. Plus we invited a fair few people with small children from the south of England and understandably they don't want to make such a long journey.Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

40 in the daytime and probably another 30 or so in the evening. Fairly small and intimate (hopefully!)You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0

38 plus us - 40 in total for the reception and the evening do.
Nice small wedding. It's 80 miles from home which is why I'm not inviting loads of people for night time.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. There will be 42 at the church & wedding breakfast, then upto now, an extra 60 in the evening, but this list hasnt been run past both sets of parents so I know they will want to add on extra. Cant be too many more though as the venue we want only has a capacity of 130.0
