Car insurance claim - no motor legal protection

    Will the insurers not let your brother add legal cover now? My husband's insurers let him pay for it when he had an accident.

    This could be the case. Your brother should at least write down exactly what happened now whilst it is still fresh in his memory.

    My only question would be did he have a confrontation before the incident with the other driver?

    Even so it does not excuse undertaking, pulling in front, then slamming on the brakes. Although it would be a good point to show what an idiot they are if there was.

    I'm surprised with the story and back up of a witness that the police didn't start to think about pulling a driving without due care charge on the driver.
