£24.80 a week

How is anyone meant to live on £24.80 a week? My other half has just received a letter to say that is what he gets. He's 48 and isn't the amount meant to be £60.80 or something?

I assume you work, or he has savings? If so, you will be assessed as a couple, and you will be expected to support him (as couples do).
    Gone ... or have I?

There should be a letter explaining how the figure has been calculated.

will have to find out what exactly is in the letter.

He lives with his sister, nephew his girlfriend & her 2 kids. Will they look at everyone in the household when working it out?

    Girlfriends ?
I would think that he would be classed as single for JSA claim, unless he made a joint application.

    What benefit is he claiming?

Does he have any income at all coming in?

It sounds like he might be subject to a sanction for the reasons he left his employment, is that a possibility?
