MyChoice HomeBuy - Key Homes East

Hello,
I was just wondering if anyone has any idea what the current backlog is for applications to Key Homes East under the MyChoice Home Buy scheme? I think the application was submitted around 31st March and last thing I heard (last week) they were dealing with post received on 12th March and this week have asked for no more fresh applications to allow them to deal with the current backlog.
Any info would be appreciated.
Many thanks,
L

Hi L,
I started a discussion thread a few weeks ago that you may find it useful. Unfortunately I am not allowed to post a link directly to the discussion, but if you do a search for 'mychoice homebuy key homes east', you should find it.
As a guide though; I think the current backlog is about one month - be prepared to chase, chase and chase some more; we were approved for the scheme last year and sent our chosen house in on the 11th March and are still waiting for funding confirmation!
Thanks (and good luck!)

Hello
I recently applied for the my choice homebuy scheme in feb through orbit they forwarded our details to key homes east who took about 8wks to write to us requesting wage slips etc. its been 3 weeks since we sent them off and we still have heard nothing from them, i called them yesterday to see if we could submit property details and they told me that they werent accepting any new property approval applications at the moment and our application was in process. I was wondering if anyone else is in the same position or has any idea how long it may take til we here from them again?
thanks0 -
I'm in the same position — there seems to have been a hiatus on entries, as the backlog was 5 weeks long. They're working through it now, but I have no idea when new applications will be accepted. I've been told they've re-allocated staff to process the applications, so hopefully any time soon, they'll be open to new approvals again.
I was a day too late with my application for approval, which is a bit of a hurter.
Anyone else with inside info — please let us know!0 -
hello, we are in the same frustrating position we sent in our chosen property details in March and to date we are still waiting for property funding approval. we have rang, rang, rang , and rang. just be prepapred to wait until you run out of hope. we still are and we have been told we wont know how long it is going to take.0
