Stopping Interest

Hi,
I'm new to this and if this has been answered before apologies.
I have fallen behind with my credit card payments due to problems with my job, I have missed 3 payments now, on a debt of just over £8,000. They are still adding late payment fees and interest, what I would like to know is how can I stop the interest being added (if I can that is), as if they keep adding it, it will soon be closer to £9,000.
Is there a point when they have to stop adding the interest?
Any help and advice would be appreciated .
Thank You

Have you spoken to them and explained your circumstances? Before you do so it would be useful to work out what amount (if any) you can afford to pay them each month, even if this doesn't equal the minimum payment.0

Before you speak to your credit card provider, I'd post again on the *Debt-Free Wannabe* board. You'll get lots of advice and support there from forum users who have faced the same situation
