I wouldn't buy from PC World either & but if the offer is good just make sure you don't take up any extra warranty or services & try to avoid thier own makes.
dell are looking good at the mo - I've just brought my mom one.
If you want the whole shop thing which can be very useful for some people your probably better off with a local computer small store but try to get one recomended by someone as I guess there are a fwe dodgyone about. I'm sure all of them will be able to recomend something to take a customer away from pc (shudder) world and you'll get much better service in the long run.
