Role as school parent govenor and bankrupcy

:mad: something else i have just thought about, will i have to resign as a school govenor when i start br proceedings?

  • I had to, but the school were very understanding about it and have told me I'm wanted back them moment I'm discharged....which is precisely why I'm going to pretend I've got a 20yr BRU for fraud.

    Hi, the restrictions on being a school govenor whilst BR have been removed. Ill try to find the updated info somewhere. Still cant be trustee of a charity though.

    An undischarged bankrupt is no longer disqualified from holding office, or continuing to hold office, as a school governor. Only those subject to a BRO will be disqualified from holding office as a school governor.
