EDF and E-on Problems
I was supposed to have switched to EDF in September last year for gas and electricity. The gas has gone over fine, but I then received a bill from E-on for my electric (they were my previous suppliers)
After calling both companies, EDF have the wrong metre number, and were supposed to come out to check it. They have made 2 appointments and not turned up either time, which is ridiculous - I would have been charged £30 if I hadn't been in but it doesn't work both ways!!!
I have been calling them since October to no avail, have made another call today to ask them to refund the payments I have made, around £120, as I am also paying E-on, who are in fact supplying my metre number.
Is there any governing body for electricity suppliers I can go to? Or does anybody have any suggestions for what I can do? EDF have repeatedly said they'll call back and not done so, I am currently awaiting a call from a manager!! Not holding my breath though.

Hi mermaid85,
I'm sorry to hear of the problems that you are having.
E.ON will continue to bill you for the supply that they still have as normal, I'd contact EDF and request they take the correct supply from E.ON and make sure you provide all of the information that you can.
You will find the MPAN on your E.ON bill and your meter serial number which will be located on your meter.
The supply that has been taken incorrectly should be sent back to the original supplier, but this isn't your responsibility to sort out.
If you are unhappy with the energy supplier, you should follow their escalation process, if you are still unhappy you can go to the Energy Ombudsman.
Hope this helps.
