If you're talking the legal ones, they're mostly programs written to take advantage of overround on markets. Some provide another interface for trading on other specific types of market.

You're probably better off asking on the Betfair forums for specific details and recommendations.

There are other bots that Betfair will ban you for. The legal ones are developed with Betfair software kit which you can pay for.

I personally wouldn't trust a bot with betting. Could lose a lot of money.

Are they Arbitrage bots? It so they will find differences in the odds between different bookies to provide you with a win/win situation, where you can make a profit by betting different amounts on each team so no matter what the outcome you make a profit.
