Rail Travel Advice Req'd Please

Hi All,

Im hoping someone can help me here.

Due to work constraints i cant get a flight to edinburgh on the 22nd of May so can only fly to london late that night. I need to get to edinburgh for the Heineken Cup final on the 23rd.

So looking at getting a train at 6:15 is the earliest i think.

Has anyone any advice on how to get a cheap fare and cheapest i can find is 80stg.

Many Thanks for looking

Mike

Have you tried the night sleeper train? Scotrail's website sells 'bargain berth' tickets and may be worth a look. Otherwise you could try getting a cheap ticket to Glasgow via the west coast and going across to Edinburgh - if they know everyone wants to go to Edinburgh there won't be as many cheap tickets, right?
