something isnt right

i ordered a swivel sweeper online,paid by credit card,it said wait 16-21 days for delivery,its about 21 days now and i have still not recieved it.

i tried emailing them-the email failed and was returned.

they have an 0845 number,i have tried to phone.its either engaged or a fax machine noise when connects......

what do i do any ideas???

the name of the company concerned is the ross group..anyone had any dealings with them? :confused:

    I would send them a letter recorded delivery given them 7 days out lining that it is unreasonable to expect to wait more than 28 days (which it would by then) and that if the item isnt sent by then you require your money back. I am sure theres some stipulation regarding sending goods in a given time period like 28 days.

    Don't forgot also to contact your credit card company !

    Distance Selling Regs seem to say contracts should be 'performed' within 30 days from order. After this time the customer should be informed and reimbursed ASAP but within a further 30 days.

    Your CC company should be able to give you your money back after this initial 30 days if you can't contact the supplier directly.

    do u mean 30 working days or 30 normal days?

    Erm, now you've got me! :) If you want to try and translate the legalese it's here: http://www.opsi.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm (section 19 Performance is the bit that deals with it).

    It just says '30 days', which is non-specific but seeing as all other references to days are qualified as 'working days' then I'd infer the 30 days means normal days.
