Duck tape's a good alternative. Just be careful when you peel it off, so you don't take skin with it!
Is cream of magnesia the same as milk of...? It's all i could find in boots.
It says the active ingredients are: Light magnesium oxide 5.98% w/v, Magnesium Sulphate 0.075% w/v, also contains chloroform.
Will i be safe slapping that stuff on my face, or is it a lot stronger than milk of magnesia? If ppl could reply before tonight, i would be eternally grateful as i'm desperate to try this stuff out!!

Yes, it's the same stuff. Would probably be sensible to use it in a well-ventilated room until it's dry, as it does smell quite strongly of choloform - don't want to keel over!

I'm becoming so OS without even realising it! I popped into Sainsburys on my way home (I wouldn't normally shop there as it is too expensive but wanted to see if they had any reduced bread - and they did!)

Anyhoo..........went to pick up a bottle of MoM and it was £3.15. And my eyebrow went up and I was like Phooey! Sure I can find it cheaper somewhere else and I didnt put it in my basket

I am grinning because I would never have noticed the price before and would never have shopped around for something like that - oh I love OS I do.

Now, don't suppose anyone knows where I can get it cheaper than that, do they? :D

I bought mine today in boots for £2.69. Likewise i would normally go to Superdrug or somewhere cheaper, but i was in heels and my feet hurt too much to walk further!!:rotfl:

  • How do you manage to get a thick coating of MoM on? On my son's face I tried patting it on using a wad of paper towel without much success. I then tried patting it on using cotton wool and it was a bit better, but it still went on thin and patchy. Any ideas?

Can afford to do the chin as well as the nose now ;)

Not the Tesco's near me. :(

Never mind, this MoM works a treat, thanks! Its so much cheaper than buying Clean and Clear. Had just finished a bottle of that and was looking for a cheap alternative.
