having found the last £9 sale thread, it seems rooms went live about 2.15am

however, you usually cant find the £9 rooms using the Sale link - they only come up, if you use the normal search facility and then when you get into the room rates, they list them as £9

Stayed LCR (islington) over easter and it was great, clean, freindly staff and good breakfast. It's between old street and moorgate tubes so there's a choice of tube lines and old st is only 2 stops from Kings cross if you arrive by train. The bus to/from Waterloo station stops at the door so we used that when going to Legoland.

We stayed in City Road too and got no sleep because of the noise of the night buses . We asked to move rooms several times. Worst travelodge we've ever stayed in.

I stayed at York central Travelodge and it's fine for sightseeing and the City Centre, all is within walking distance and the hotel standard is good.

For London Eye and London Dungeons, your best bet will be Southwark Travelodge, both of those attractions are within walking distance of that lodge. Southwark Travelodge is less than a year old so the standard of decor etc is good. The tube station is 2 mins walk away and it's in zone 1.
  • ok - I'm hopefully going to book for a 'delayed' honeymoon - can anyone tell me, through past experiences, are bank holidays usually included in the deal??
Got married on 1st August

Yes, I booked a room for Easter Monday in the last sale, happy honeymoon!
  • Speaking from experience Bank Holidays have been included. I've just had a weekend away over Easter and off again in May's Bank Holiday. Congrats on forthcoming wedding.
  • thank you both :) well its Rugby League's Challenge Cup weekend too in August so I've booked my tickets today and now hopefully I can get a cheap lodge in London too :)

  • Has anyone ever tried the bar cafe breakfast?
It states that it is all you can eat. As Hubby has a large appetite, thought this might be a good deal.
Is the choice of food good?
When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!

Last time these went live the previous evening & caught us all unprepared - maybe they are being a bit stricter this time & it really will be 6am & no earlier!
