I'm in Norfolk - theres one in the centre of Norwich but it has no fee parking and I think it can be a bit noisey - but its brand new and right by the shops. I've never seen it cheap though.
Theres several more just off dual carriageways - but to be honest we don't have that many here. I would say your best bet would be to try and get to stay in the Acle one - its between Yarmouth and Norwich - and Acle is quite quaint (although the Travelodge is at a service station). Obviously you'd need a car for this one but its well placed to visit some of the lovely coastal towns/villages along the Norfolk and Suffolk coast (do visit the Suffolk coast as well - places like Aldeburgh and Southwold are lovely!).0 -

No worries - just a word of caution - the Hethersett one is "detailed" as "Norwich" but its several miles outside of the city on a really grotty service station roundabout.
If you can't get any cheapies - the Premier Inn (Duke Street) is £65 a night in the city centre (Norwich) with free parking and its practically brand new and only a 2 min walk from some really lovely pubs and restaurants (try the Belgium Monk if in Norwich - its one of the scrummiest and oldest buildings in the city centre specialising in Belgium beers).0 -
There is a new (about one year old) Travelodge in Gorleston, two miles from Yarmouth. It's just off the A12, five minutes walk from beautiful sandy beach. Next to Captain Manby's Carvery and pub, which is very good. I think it's listed as Great Yarmouth Travelodge anyway. I'm sure it's good.0

Has anyone been to the Arundel Fontwell one or Littlehampton Rustington? We've been to Worthing which was lovely, but I would like to have a look around, we've got two little ones though so don't really want to be on a major road route.
Sorry, I was looking at the Portsmouth one as well, but I was wondering where we would eat as it doesn't list any cafe/bar, but doesn't mention Little Chef either.
Thanks for any advice/info.0 -
curlywurli, the porstmouth one is joined onto a pub with a wacky warehouse for the kids, i thinks it's either two eat for price of one or 2 meals for £10, it was last time i stayed there. HTH0

We've just come back from London over Easter and got rooms from the sale in November staying in MARYLEBONE hotel. It is next door to train station and about a 15 minute from Oxford Street going up a street y Selfridges and up Baker Street. Can really recommend hotel it was clean, quiet and the staff were friendly even better as it was only £9 a night.
Hope this helps.
i second that for the marylebone hotel for its convenience of the underground and only a couple of stops from paddington, we stayed there for the easter bank holiday for 3 nights...only grump was the breakfast and dinner we pre book was not nice to put it politely....covent garden i found was not convenient for the underground and a bit of a walk...0
