Bigwardrobe.com - Clothes Swapping / Selling free to use

Hi I hope I'm posting this in the right place, but I thought some money savers might find this useful :)

I recently found a website called bigwardrobe.com
it's predominately a clothes swapping website which works in a similar way to ebay.
You list up any of your unwanted clothes and have a look through the clothes other people have listed, if you see something you like you can message them and ask if they would like to make a swap with you.
You can also sell clothes on there, something I haven't done yet as I enjoy swapping :D
There are no fees involved either :)

The site also has a feedback system so you can see whether you are dealing with a trustworthy member or not.

Bigwardrobe.com is the new and exciting way to swap things you don't wear for things you will, OR turn your unwanted clothes back into cash. It's really simple. Add some clothes you don't wear anymore to Bigwardrobe.com and soon you will start receiving offers (swaps, cash or a combination of both) from other members. Join now – it's 100% free!

Just heard about this site from another member of the MSE forums

Are many people using it? I am surprised there were no responses to your post as it looks like a really interesting site

    Thanks for posting

i joined and most people seemed to want money for clothes and anyone who wanted to swap with me had nothing i wanted to swap i gave up after a couple of months with no swaps. Principle is good but found it hard to reasonable price my own items as people seemed to want stupid amounts for their own. It wasn't that i wanted that cash price really i just had to price for what i would want to swap it for as so much was overpriced. Not sure if that makes sense try listing your own items then you can see what i mean.

I'll give it a try and see what happens. Just going to try it out with something I cannot shift on ebay and see how it goes :)

I listed loads of stuff to sell but just got offered silly money or to swap for things worth about a fifth of what they were, figured i would rather pay ebays fees and get what the item was worth

Also went to their Big Swish in Leeds which was fab, they are doing them all round the country, but website REALLY good too, just got a Juicy Couture bracelette in a swap/cash combo for my mates 30th, brand new! So good for gifts! I'm emmie77 on there if anyone fancies a swap. x
  • I really like Bigwardrobe, very interesting place to look for event outfit or casual clothes
  • Anyone know what its like for selling on there? I'm wondering if its worth giving it a go
