Hello everyone
We recently noticed a very large crack across the small window in our bathroom, the windows are double glazed, and I think we will need a sealed unit? Anyone have an idea about the cost of this? Will be phoning round different companies next week, just wanted to have a rough idea?
Many thanks

Can't give you a price unless you give an idea of actual size0

Very rough price for a smallish sealed unit is £75 including fitting, obvioulsly the price would go up if it is obscure glass.0

Assuming they are timber frames with 4/6/4 sealed units, this is quite an easy DIY job.
Many of my sealed units are approx 600 x 400 - these cost approx £12-£15 each to order for DIY replacement. I do 2-3 every year as they are of the age where the seals start to go.
However, if you have a large crack, rather than being caused by something hitting the glass, there may be something more serious going on, causing the window/frame to distort and crack the glass.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
