help with viewing history in vista?

i am a regular poster but couldnt post this in my normal username,

my husband has had a compulsive gambling problem in the past, we lost our house, this fuelled some paranoia in me a few days ago when i turned on my laptop to find that he has created his own username, made himself admin and passworded it, it is my laptop and i am the main admin unless he has changed this too. i asked him last night why he had done it as we just shared it before and have done for years and he flew off the handle and hasnt spoken to me since, i'm worried he may be gambling i need to check his history for my own peace of mind but i cant see if theres a way to do this without logging in as him? please can someone tell me if this is possible? i really dont want to have to put parental locks on it. thank you so much

If this is your laptop then you should be an Administrator (to check just double click the clock at the bottom, it should come up without any errors) If your not tell us.

It would be an invasion of his privacy to look through his history, history that may well have been deleted anyway. I can only recommend installing K9 Web Protection and blocking the gambling and proxy category seeing it is your laptop.

He may well have just made an account so he can have his own settings in windows ;)
  • we are both administrators. as i said i dont want to have to put parental locks on if i dont need to, and it is very possible that i dont, i just want to see the history because of his reaction when i asked why he had done this. compulsive gamblers are very secretive and i cant lose everything again
  • welllllllllll I would have my own bank account and house in your name. But what do I know, laptop is the least of your worries I think. Talk to each other.
