My toes go numb wearing trainers, what sort do I need for general use?

I need some new trainers. I used to always wear Nike Air (with the bubble in the heel) but then found that my toes were always going numb when I was wearing them so I just started wearing my Birkenstocks in the summer and Uggs in the winter. Hey I thought I was the only one that had this! Any trainers make my toes numb/tingly, like being in the snow, also wellies do it too, and they're definately not tight!!When I take them off my toes are pale and cold...
