dk143, On the side of SD cards there is a small latch thing on the right hand side which says lock. Can you make sure you haven't locked your SD card?0
-
Yes, the card is not locked. (I have actually tried it with the latch both up AND down!).
I have also tried a different sd card, which also comes up as write-protected. My boss has a different sd card reader, and my card will write on his card reader, so I know there are no issues with the sd card itself, nor should there be with the PC.
It's looking like my new reader is the problem isn't it????
Any suggestions anyone???0 -
> Hope you're all sure it's genuine.
They seem to be. I ordered a USB IrDA dongle and a 12V in-car FM transmitter which arrived in just under a week and both work as described. Change from a tenner, too - can't be bad!0 -
Think they are genuine... I was just unlucky to get a faulty item I think.
In fact, I have got my money back without having to send the item back, which is obviously a good result!0 -
Dk i find that in those cards there is often a folder for passwords etc which is write protected but the rest of the card isn't. Load the card and then make a new folder called whatever you like and see of that worksI'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
I'm not losing my hair... I'm getting more head!!0 -
Thanks coolagarry, but I don't think that's the problem... I've even tried simply moving a file over to the card from my PC, but it still says the card is write protected.
When I'm using the card, I literally can't do anything other than read what is already on it.0 -
hi just thought i would ask again

thanksappreciate what you have got x0 -

Just a thought, have a look at the attributes of the files to see if they are read-only, if the are, untick the read-only box and give that a try.I just can't be happy today0 -
Nope, they're not read-only... thanks anyway.0
-
I'm sure I could use one of these, trouble is I have no idea what its for!!
(Brave aren't I? to admit I mean)Stop looking for answers....
The most you can hope for are clues.....:)0
