Want to meet up with my sis before going to NEC this weekend (don't fancy spending all day in carparks trying to find her!)

So does anyone know the nearest services to the NEC (on M42), or somewhere at the NEC exit (jct 6...i think) before we get into the carparks?

Btw, sorry about duplicate threads, couldn't decide if it should be motoring or days out,so did both!!!

  • HI..

There's a few hotels right on the A45 just a stones' throw from the NEC - or indeed a few hotels actually within the NEC complex itself. These could act as good "meeting points". Like "The Hilton" for example ?
  • Services... Junction 9 is Tamworth

There's Hopwood Services too - around the Jnct 2 mark.

If I remember correctly Tamworth tends to have boy racer gatherings.

When did they move it from junction 10?

Its easy enough to find each other when you get there if you have mobile phones, or just agree to meet by the lake somewhere (by the tables/chairs outside the back of the Crowne Plaza is a good bet). There is nowehere you can really stop near the NEC without going in to the car parks.
  • Ahhh Chippy - you are right!!

Sorry, it was a bit early.

Juncxtion 9 is where you get oiff for the A446 and THE BELFRY is just down the road. Junction 10 is Tamworth where it meets the A5

    Thanks 4 correcting me!

You'd think...we tried in New York once, with us sitting at different entrances to the same building!!!

Anyway thanks for the replies guys, we're sorted now
