Wanting to buy a decent mouse.

Hi all hope its ok to ask on here.

Well I am looking for a new mouse. I've not had much luck with others cordless ones mainly. I had a 100 pound which was for the keyboard and mouse which broke. Now i have a 5 pound keyboard which does the job but i hate my mouse. Was looking if anyone could reccommend me a decent mouse that is not to dear please? I use my computer to come on MSE, sometimes competitions when i can be bothered & to chat to my friends so just general stuff not gaming etc.

Thanks. And sorry if its not ok to ask on this forum.

there or their, one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff

  • Microsoft and Logitech are good brands. Make sure you get an optical mouse, not one with a ball in the bottom as they gather dirt. A corded mouse should be cheaper than a cordless one.

I've had the same Microsoft Intellimouse on my PC for at least 6 years if not longer, it's corded and optical, but you can get cordless ones, it gets a lot of usage, also have the same on on of my Macs too.

    I use this.

It is Excellent Laser Mouse. Best Mouse I have used ever. Will do what you require, and settings can be changed to how you want it. Very nicely weighted as well.

It is corded but I never have liked cordless mice as they can be a pain if they start playing up. Just plug in USB and go.

    Buy it at Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-MX400-Performance-Laser-Mouse/dp/B000EU6AAU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1239875558&sr=8-1

I use a cordless Logitech MX1000 on one of my PCs, which is excellent. I've also got a Logitech Marble Mouse (which, despite the name, is actually a trackball). That's great too.

    Hope this helps...

Look on Ebay for a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000. They're about £15 or so and really comfortable.

I prefer wired to wireless. Both myself and my girlfriend have Logitech MX518s. Great mice.

Just noticed that the expensive ones broke OP. What brand were they? Logitech and Microsoft offer a really good replacement service, both will cover their goods for five years so you may not have to spend any money at all..

It was a logitech one. They cost 100 pound for the keyboard/mouse which is alot of money. My dad binned them a few weeks back. Typical !! I shall remember that so thanks for the info on that :o.

Would like to thank everyone for being very helpful aswell. I dont mind paying a high price for a decent mouse but its when they break easily
