Hi Guys,

Hope you all had a good Easter!

Just wondering if anyone has had any problems with 'Absolute Radio', I have a feeling that when they call you, if you don't answer or miss the call they simply ring the next person drawn and you loose the prize, I say this because I have read a few posts on here where people have recieved a call from them 5-10 mins after a comp has ended, missed the call, then when they have rung them back, nothing and worst of all - no prize!:mad:

This happened to me the other day, I had a missed call from them 5 mins after the Star Wars comp ended, no repeat call, tried ringing them back, e-mailed nothing, Im quite upset because I ended up paying £170.00 for tickets to go!

The number I got called from is: 0207 434 1215

Has anyone else had any experience of this?! Don't want anyone else to loose a prize!

Thanks for the warning - i will make sure i watch my phone from now on... maybe even save the number under absolute!

There's no way of telling if it goes on to the next person unless someone on here wins.
I have won with Absolute radio and it was a few days after the comp ended that I got the phone call. I also e-mailed them to check the Value of the item as Absolute t&c's state if you win one prize over £150 you can't win again for a certain length and I had an email reply very quickly.

all the same but ive stored the number in my mobile (thats if they ever call me with a win) lol

Definitley save the number, and watch out for it, ESPECIALLY if it is a prize with a date, such as a concert, event or holiday.

The Star Wars comp ended about 3/4 O'Clock on Thursday (offices shut at 5/6) missed call at about the same time, the next day was Good Friday (no-one in the office) and the concert was Saturday, can you see what might have gone wrong....

May just be a one off, but still handy to have the number saved!

Let's hope my situation was a one off because they only had an hour or so to arrange the prize with the winner. I guess we'll never know!

The same thing happened to me a while back. I entered the New Orleans Holiday comp back in February I think and the comp finished on a Friday at 18:00. I had a missed call from this number at 18:06. Called them back, got put through to the department that deals with competition winners. The lady couldn't find my name on the database at all and said she would call me back once she checks with her colleague. But she never called back. I emailed them but they did not reply. Then I find out that another MSEer won the comp. Don't get me wrong, I am pleased for whoever won the trip. Just think it's unfair that they don't give you a chance if you don't answer the call. They could at least leave a message or call back.

That is heartbreaking to have lost such a big prize!

I do think it's very unfair, even if they left a message saying" if you do not claim the prize within an hour it will be forfitied", something like that! It's strange how they have no record of your name, and didn't e-mail either of us back to our query.

Perhaps we should check their T&C's?!

Back in Feb I missed a call from absolute... didn't get to the phone in time... They rang my hubby 5 mins later and he managed to answer, he won tickets for a local concert, we had both entered... I rang them back and spoke to Receptionist and they didn't know what they had rang me for.... I agree they do go down the list until they get someone who answers as they didn't ring me back....

That's terrible, lucky for you your hubby got the prize though!
