Does anyone know if any of the high street money exchange places such as Thomas Cook does dirhams for Morrocco or do we have to get at airport when we arrive?
Is it true that the ATMs in Marrakech run out of money at weekends?
Thanks!

Some older posts regarding this, easiest way is just go to the cash point when you get there. I've never heard of the ATM running out before but I guess its possible:

I didn't experience this, but they never seemed to have any paper in them to issue receipts.moneylover wrote: »Is it true that the ATMs in Marrakech run out of money at weekends?

It is a restricted currency, so you can't buy it until you enter the country. There were ATM's at the airport and also a Bereau de Change and then there were lots of ATM's in the city. I did find that my one card didn't work in the machines, so despite the charges, was glad i had taken a credit card. My advice would be take a few different cards to improve your chances.0
