I would ignore them. The worst that can happen is that they leave a negative which you can respond to and then leave a negative for them.
Many sellers are now waiting for the buyers response because of unreasonable neutral and negative buyer feedback being left on items its not at all unusual, and there are many users who never leave feedback.

Ignore them and if they say anything more report them to ebay for something like feedback extortion - if there is such a thing!!!

I wouldn't leave feedback until i knew that the item has arrived and would reply something like:

Thank you for your email. As the item has not arrived yet the transaction is not complete. My responsibility for the transaction does not end when i take the item to the post office but when it is recieved by the buyer. As soon as i know the whole transaction is complete i will leave appropriate feedback - please let me know when it arrives. You are welcome to leave feedback when ever you want whether it is during the transaction or at the end however this will have no impact on my decision to leave feedback until i know that the transaction has been complete. I hope you understand that i care about the whole transaction and although feedback a optional i always leave the approriate feedback once i know that the transaction is complete.

Thank you very much for your email.

By writing this you might be leaving yourself open for a neg but then i would just neg her back. If she was reasonable she might understand why you are waiting. I find what she has written quite rude and threatening but there is no use rising to it.

However, it is your choice and as mentioned previously feedback is optional.

Its ok leaving pos f/b for a prompt payer but just because they paid promptly doesn't mean they aren't going to turn funny later once they have their pos f/b. Hubby used to leave f/b soon as buyers paid but had problems with a few who had a small niggly problem but never contacted him to sort it out, they just left a neg without giving him a chance. Feedback is optional, if someone doesn't want to leave it thats fine. If I got hassled for f/b I'd neg and say "Heres the feedback you hassled me for"

  • Trouble is that if you leave negative or neutral feedback, you more often than not get negative feedback in return and that ruins your ratings even though you have done nothing wrong.

Best not leave anything or explain to other Ebay users your reasons for not doing so.

In my opinion, f/b isn't only for the speed of payment, but for the whole transaction; I leave f/b for buyers once I know that they have received it and are happy. When I have posted the item, I mail the buyer along the lines of, "Please acknowledge receipt of the item by e-mail, and that you are happy with it. if you have any problems, please contact me before leaving f/b, so that I have the opportunity to remedy the problem. Once I know that you are happy, I will leave f/b."

That way, I know they have it and they know that I am not making my leaving f/b reliant on them leaving f/b. I track all my sold items on RM, so I know when they have it - if they don't mail me, I leave it a week or so and then leave them positive f/b. Works for me.
I only exist in my own mind - if you can see, hear or read me, you are a product of my imagination.
