Community care grants

I have just come out of hospital after a year and been moved into a flat that is unfurnished, I have applied for a community care grant, how much can be offered, I receive ESA and DLA and am in a wheelchair, the flat is for disabled i.e. low cupboards, sliding doors and hand rails but there is not even carpets let alone bed or settee please help the form was sent 3 weeks ago and still not heard anything

just phone and inquire about it ,,may b it got lost in post ours did, they then had to resend the from back out0

In the mean time try Freecycle you might be able to get a few bits to tie you over.

Freecycle is a yahoo group, people offer things free of charge you usually have to go and pick any items up.
My daughter has just got a washing machine free, it was in very good condition. You join your local freecycle and opt to get emails everytime someone places an ad.
