Pay Mortgage with Credit Card to get rewards

Hi everyone, I've been trying to figure out whether or not I can pay my mortgage with my rewards credit cards - but the more I research, the more confused I get! Can anyone help?! This is absolutely not because of a debt problem - I always clear my card every month. I just figured that if I can get cash back it would be a very tidy earner... I realise they won't want you to do this, but can they stop you?
Cheers, Scott

You can pay by your cashback card and earn on the cashback!
Some lenders will not let you pay credit with credit tho

My mortgage company do not accept credit cards - they dont want to take the 2% fee so they decline them, debit cards only.....
But depend who your mortgage is with, I doubt many let you for the exact reason you quote..... but then they'd be paying a fee whilst you get money all because of them giving you a mortgage.... see what I mean

I was wondering which banks/building societies allow you to pay via credit card, and how many people are actually doing it. It would be good to have a list as it's a nice potential perk!
