Begbies Traynor search on credit file?

It's listed under "credit searches" and according to the equifax FAQ on searches, anything under "credit searches" can be seen - it's only the "other searches" that are invisible - and it's not under there...
I see. I thought you were referring to Experian who work differently.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

It depends what the search was for.
If it was for credit scoring/checking those can be seen by other lenders.
If it is for other reasons, in general they cannot be seen by anyone but you and whoever carried out the search.
From Experian:An unrecorded enquiry is a search that was not made for lending purposes. This includes searches made to check your identity. It cannot affect your credit rating or score when you apply for credit. It is not seen by lenders other than the one that carried out the search. It is included on your credit report so you know the search was made. When a lender carries out a search to check your identity they do not get details of your personal credit history, they simply see a score.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Exactly.
But it does emphasise why it is a good idea to get your credit reference files sorted after BR. While it can't stop it 100%, it will hopefully help make this sort of thing less likely eventually.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

From Experian:
My understanding is that the only way it would not show is if the search was not fully completed....
Maybe its changed in the last year....its a very flawed system !0 -

As said, it all depends on the purpose of the search.

So yo may get that letter soon
Which I presume is carp as no one can annul a BR."What does not kill you makes you stronger"0 -
Which I presume is carp as no one can annul a BR.
It can be done if there are sufficient assets/funds to pay the debts and OR/trustee fees.
That is mainly applicable to creditor petitioned bankruptcies. The BR may have been granted, but the debtor may be able to clear the debts one way or another. That can quite easily happen if the debtor ignores the BR petition, etc....Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Which doesn't apply in my case. BTW I've not heard a thing from Vertex since the hearing in Feb at which the said they wanted an adjournment to make me an offer! I wonder if I should mention this to the Judge at the new hearing?"What does not kill you makes you stronger"0 -
Well sure as eggs I had a letter from a lovely company claiming that they could annul my bankruptcy AS WELL AS getting rid of all the debt - great! So I took them up on their kind offer by relieving myself into the postage paid envelope and mailing it back to them
I don't think they will be mailing me againBR 08/04/09 | ED 02/10/09| BSC 255
