Tesco CC - Dreadful Service

Last August I was sucked in to the mail shot with my CC statement to get extra points for signing up to Home Phone/BB and Powergen but inspite of constant calls, I still haven't had the extra points.
To add insult to injury, I have had appalling service from Tesco Broadband where they just completely ignore me and hope I will go away, and Powergen immediately put the price up by 18%
What can I do ?

Do you have anything confirming your extra points entitlement? e.g. email, copy of advert, etc.
If you do, then I would get back in touch with Tesco & tell them that as the extra points were part of the contract you agreed for the service, then if they don't give you your points they are in breach of contract & you will take further action, including reporting them to trading standards. Do this in writing and give them a deadline of say 2 weeks to sort it out. If they don't, I would suggest contacting Citizens Advice because they could then hopefully write to Tesco on your behalf.
The ultimate step is to go to small claims court, but I m sure it won't get that far.
Regarding Powergen, unfortunately everyone is in the same situation at the moment so there is not a lot you can do.0 -
I've just signed up Tesco Home phone for the simple reason that they were offering a 2000 pt bonus. I do hope that this comes through - but have taken note of your (bb999) comments and helps thanksVeteran Bargain Hunter -
