Help calculating my gas bill please

Really don't know. If the boiler's off, does the meter move much? How much water do you heat a day? When we had a boiler and water tank, we'd need it on for over an hour a day for all six of us and we used over a unit a day.

When we're not cooking much and there's no heating on, we still use 26kwh a day - just under an imperial meter unit.

Ours is an immersion heater & tank. At the moment it is on all day, I was told it works out dearer to keep reheating the water everytime someone wants a bath, rather than leaving on full time.
We did put the water on timer for 2 weeks for 2 hours everynight. But the water was never hot, I could fill the bath just with the hot tap & it would still be luke warm.

Maybe this is where your money is going. There are people who claim that, so long as your tank is well insulated, keeping it on all the time isn't that expensive. Certainly wasn't our experience.

That aside, two hours on would have given me enough hot water for a couple of baths and four showers. If your water isn't hot enough, the boiler's probably using gas most of the day. Not sure if this is the boiler not working as it should, or thermostat on the tank.

Hopefully, someone else more knowledgeable about this will offer some advice on this.
