Abbey Charges - Escalation Frustration

Update... £25 has just disappeared out of my account... I'm gonna drop my dog off at my local branch long enough for her to need a cr*p on the carpet... at least I would, but then I'd get billed for cleaning... sooooo annoying.
Still, my pay goes into my account next week... will start fighting to get the chartges back, it's bloody ludicrous!0 -

On a more general note and for different reasons to you, I have decided to go elsewhere for my banking after 30 years because I can no longer cope with Abbey's poor complaint management.
I've never been outside an overdraft limit and have been a model (though quite low funded) customer.
I've had enough. I've stopped phoning them these days because I end up just having a bad few hours after I phone them and I find it impossible to phone them now without expressing my irritation. I don't want to be like that so it's bye bye Abbey.0 -
Thought I'd drop an update in... still no further forward except that I can't even get a form from them to fill in.
My complaint about the obnoxious woman went... well, nowhere. My banking is now moving to Halifax, for the time being. Both my wife and I are going for the "here have a free fiver" reward account... pay both our pay in (£5 each) then transfer £1000 between us to a joint account (have another fiver), and bearing in mind we will run these accounts down to a bare minimum everymonth, an extra £210 a year just for staying in the black. Happy days!!0 -
