Tempororary dirth of new to market?

Just wondering if anyone had noticed whether or not (or was worried that) the new HIP ruling has limited properties going on the market these last couple of weeks...

I appreciate that Easter with 2 bank hols slows everything down, but i have the fear that now people have to have a HIP in place BEFORE advertising property, there will be a 2-3 maybe even 4 week gap of lots of new properties for sale.

luckily if this does happen at least it will be flollowed by an influx of all the places that have been waiting for their HIPs to be completed.

(btw, i'm a FTB so actually have no idea how long it takes to get a HIP sorted, might only take a few days for all i know)

just thought it would make interesting viewing over the next week or so... hope my fears are unfounded for all those seeking a home
xx
