congestion charge?
I don't think there is an answer to this that I will like, but I'll ask anyway.
Is there anyway of finding out whether 'my' car has been in the congestion charge today? I know that sounds daft but my DS who has recently passed his test has been put on my insurance for a few days to get some driving practice. He and his younger brother set off early this morning to a shopping mall about 15 miles away (going away from London).
I've been franctic all afternoon as they did not reappear but youngest son finally phoned and confessed they have got horribly lost and are now in Lewisham which is the other side of the river from me. Luckily they have my Tom Tom on board so they are making their way home at the moment but they are following a very odd sounding route. As we are only a few miles outside the London congestion zone there is a possibility that may have edged into it, it is unlikely but the possibility is there.
I would prefer not to end up with a fine yet there is only a small possibility that they entered the zone but I can't be sure as they have no real idea where they are or where they have been as they are now just following the Tom Tom.
They obviously have their grandfather's genes, as he once ended up on the Woolwich ferry whilst only travelling from North London to Southend on Sea.

No way to check, you can only pay it to avoid the fine.0

I thought that would be the case thanks anyway. We've checked the route and I'm fairly confident that they remained otuside the zone by a couple of miles, the Tom Tom route does not take them inside and anyway it looks like they only approached the zone after 6pm anyway.
I'm going to chance not paying and hope I am right!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. It's pretty hard to miss the signs for the congestion charge and I'm sure you've got no need to worry.I thought that would be the case thanks anyway.
