Hi all,
Please can someone advise, I phoned the EMA helpline and a young girl told me she thought we were ILLegible (yes seriously) I told her I think you mean eligible  however I have no confidence in what she told me.
Our situation is :
Just my son and I live here, I am a H.E. student, started last September, prior to this we were on income support as my son is getting DLA and I am his carer, I get carers allowance, the only taxable income coming in this house is carers allowance.Income support stopped last Septemeber when I started Uni and began to get student finance.
Does anyone know if he will get the full £30 a week as now we don't get income support and only a bit towards rent and council tax, also as the tax year in question is split in my case as half on student finance and half on income support...
Confused?........ yeah me too...........

If your total household income is below £20,817 they you should qualify. Fill the form in and send it off - what have you got to loose. Don't forget to evidence your housing benefit and council tax.
The outcome will be based on last years income but there is an appeal system set up so you still have nothing to loose.Mags - who loves shopping0 -
