                    Hi
I have been claiming CBJSA since March and my hubbie finds out if he is being made redundant on friday.
He will get a redundancy payment from his firm so will have more than £16k in `savings`, if firm honour redundancy money-enhanced.
So he will be claiming CBJSA aswell.
Will we both be `allowed` to claim in our own right or will us being a married couple mean we have to have a joint claim?
Either way the prospect of living off £128.60 with 2 children, plus him having to pay maintenace for 1 child aswell, but if it`s joint and only £98, we could freeze or starve!

You can both claim in your own right with contribution based JSA.0

You should reduce your maintainance payments whilst ou are benefits, usually it is a £5 per week CSA level.
You should get about £90 CTC a week but you need to ask TCO to work out on this years income just becareful you do not underestimate your income other it will result in an overpayment.0
