Post office boxes
Thanks in advance if you can help with this one.
I'm in Clapham, South London and looking to rent a PO Box.
I've looked on the site but can't see any articles Martin has written about this. Are there any?
- Do the prices differ depending where in London you are?
- Do any cashback sites offer cashbacks for taking out a PO Box?
- Does anyone know the costs? I believe Royal Mail and private companies both offer these?
- Do the costs differ between 5 and 6 day sorting - is there even a choice?
- How long are the contracts?
- What is required to open one?
- Can you pick the PO Box number from the available options?
Many thanks

I can only help with the ones you get through Royal Mail, so I've deleted the questions I can't answer! Thanks in advance if you can help with this one.
Not sure, however you could search the Small Biz & Charity Organiser's board for similar questions.I've looked on the site but can't see any articles Martin has written about this. Are there any?
Probably for 'private' boxes, not for the Royal Mail scheme which has the same charges nationwide.- Do the prices differ depending where in London you are?
RM: £62.85 per year for the box itself, double that if you want the post delivered.- Does anyone know the costs? I believe Royal Mail and private companies both offer these?
No, no difference in RM costs, Yes, there is a choice.- Do the costs differ between 5 and 6 day sorting - is there even a choice?
minimum 6 months, but as that will cost you £51,12 months is not significantly more expensive.- How long are the contracts?
Download the forms from the Royal Mail website. This page has links to all the information. Money and proof of address less than 3 months old are the main things.- What is required to open one?
I don't think so.- Can you pick the PO Box number from the available options?
Note that with Royal Mail your PO Box can only be local to the address you want to link it to.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
