Seriously, if the PWC is in receipt of benefits, or the overpayment is due to csa error, the NRP should be compensated, but the PWC should not be asked to repay the overpayment.0

If it's a CSA error then I agree that the PWC shouldn't have to pay.
But I don't see why a PWC shouldn't be asked to pay a overpayment back even if they are on benefits. It happens to NRP's so I fail to see why the PWC gets a different deal.
Even a nominal sum of a couple of pounds a week which won't make a dent in the family budget and granted, probably won't make a dent in the overpayment but it's the principle of the thing.0 -
good ,im glad you are getting less .mabey your ex will give money to your kids instead of you and the csa robbing absent dads ...its about time you were all made to take a bit less then mabey we all wouldnt argue infront of our kids ... all these forums are ex partners yapping on and moaning that they should get more ...and for all of your information i have a stepdaughter who i have paid for the last 6 years ,my wife gets nothing off her ex for her and i dont moan .i just love having having the chance to help with both my boys and my stepkid with what money i have .0

Always worth checking -My ex declared his then girlfriend's two kids -then when he split with her wrote to CSA who filed the letter on his file but did nothing about it. Two years later I was querying something else and thought to mention it in passing and lo and behold the two kids were still on there-and the letter was on the file.
Like the OP I'm on reasonable terms with my ex -just as well as when we moved off direct payment we had a year of him watching the DD take money from his account and it go back in again the same or nest day as the DD was incorrectly set up-he'd then transfer it to my account (The whole point of getting the CSA to do it was to avoid me having to ring him as his partner at the time was causing difficulties). Every month we'd seperately call the CSA -every month they'd promise to sort it out-one woman even told me I was wrong and he was lying (her exact words) -he simply wasn't paying -if I hadn't seen the statements for myself I'd have believed her. After a year we gave up and went back to direct payment. Talk about useless !! They are always so nice on the phone and promise to do what is required-and then do......nothing <sigh>I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

what a nasty, uncalled for post.well lucky old you jamiemaboy, maybe the ex wont give the kids money though .the point is that children cost money and why should NRPs(men or women)penny pinch from their children? they were responsible for creating them too.
the NRP should pay a fair amount and you feel its people moaning about the amount their exs give, well what the hell are you doing then mmmm........moaning i think!

YOU might argue about money in front of your kids.....but don't assume everyone is like YOU !!!
Plenty of parents manage to keep that side of stuff completely away from the children -maybe you should try it ?I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

get your facts right jamiemaboy (the name suits because youre certainly very immature so you arent a man:whistle:).
im not all nicey nicey with my ex at all and still havent decided to go to csa or not.at the end of the day my childs father should pay more and he knows it but he has a high maintenance wife which seems to come before his daughter,so you think thats fair do you???
just because youre a total pushover and havent got money out of your stepchilds dad doesnt mean that we are.:D0 -
