Forgotten Netgear Router password - what can I do?

I just tried to go to router settings on Netgear router but changed my password from default and now have forgotten what to. Is there a way of getting it/ logging in without it? :embarasse

You should be able to rest the router back to the factory default settings.
You will need to set it up again with all your isp settings etc but it should default back to:
Username: admin
Password: password (or 1234 for older routers)
There should be a reset button on the back of the router just press and hold it until the light flashes and that should be it
