Hi MSE's :hello:

Open a Current With HSBC via Topcashback and get £50 cashback :jIt doesn't cost you a penny to open a bank account so in theory its a free £50!! :D

http://www.topcashback.co.uk/retailerdetailHSBC.htm

Its the second one down " Bank Account (This product covers Current Account and Current Account Advance)" ,

The only terms are that you pay a minimum of £500 pounds in a month , which for most people are there wage.

It should only take approximately 10 minutes to open the account

Good luck

CLLC :D

p.s. Feel free to thank me , I like thanks :p

Sorry for the confusion , they are actually both the same ones.

I can confirm that they give you "100% Cashback"

They don't take a penny or charge you an annual fee , nor are there any hidden charges :D

50.00 Cashback for having a HSBC Current Account advance application approved has been on offer a long long time and is available on ALL 100% cashback sites. From experience its an awful tracker.

50.00 Cashback for having a Alliance and Leicester Current Account application accepted as well. ( another long term offer)

Thanks. :D I was looking at setting up another bank account as a back-up when I try & reclaim my bank charges. Getting "paid" £50 to do that looks a good way to go! :T

I'm a member of TCB & just singed up to We Promise To. Both have similar offers. Anyone know which bank is best to sign up with to ensure you get the cashback to track as well as ensuring your on-line security? The first review I saw on TCB said setting up the HSBC account tracked within one day, which sounds ok. However, as I'm seeing with other retailers - tracking and confirming aren't necessarily the same thing!!!!

    Many thanks. ;)
Big thanks to Martin Lewis for helping us start to sort out our finances!!!:A

Personally Id say A+L for tracking, and paying, online security is as secure as you make it, TCB pay higher cashback the more cashback you earn with them.

Brilliant, thanks for that. :D Presumably you have to watch how many times you do this because it affects your credit rating if you open too many accounts.

Does the A&L account (the one that TCB links to) have a set amount you have to pay/keep in per month?

    Thanks again. :T

As long as someones credit rating is good in the first place, applying for a few new accounts here and there doesnt make any difference in the longer term. Many on MSE have done all the Current Account opening incentives when available. Please note that switching direct debits etc is not a requirement of the 50.00 Cashback Site offer for A+L. however it often is a requirement of additional offers made by A+L.

After viewing A+L webpage, clear all cookies before applying via a Cashback site.

how long do you have to keep the bank accounts open for? and do you have change your pay to pay into the new account or can you just put the £500 in from your own account?

Keep the Bank accounts open until you get the Cashback, varies from Bank to Bank whether funding has to be from external sources or not.

HSBC Account Advance does have a stipulation that main income must be paid into it :

    Application eligibility criteria

Please ensure you can answer YES to the following questions.
    • Are you 18 years or over?
    • Will you be paying at least £500 per month into this account?
(Should you fail to make the £500 monthly payment required to maintain your account, we will either change it to a Current Account or give you notice that we will be closing your account. If you are under the age of 23, the qualification criteria will not apply.)
    • Do you have your salary/regular income paid directly into your bank account?
    • Are you happy for us to undertake a credit register search and credit scoring (PDF)
    • Can you provide us with identification and proof of your address and one month's bank statements from your current bank?
